The Decloaking of Lil Red

sweep with my cloak, the paw prints.

I apply with my cloak, some pressure.

I absorb with my cloak, the seepage.

I cover with my cloak, her gray fur.

I stop with my cloak, my own sweat.

I swaddle with my cloak, her pups.

I form with my cloak, a shield.

I weave with my cloak, a warning.

I pray with my cloak, away prey.

I wrap with my cloak, a mask.

I blind with my cloak, the hunter.

I tie with my cloak, his arms.

I bind with my cloak, his legs.

I vanish with my cloak, his discharged gun.

I wipe with my cloak, mud into fabric.

I rub with my cloak, fabric onto lichen.

I press with my cloak, oak leaves against cloth.

I grasp my cloak that was once all red,

I lift my cloak now soiled through with earth,

and I remove it forever.
