Omid Shams is a Poet, Translator and Political Analyst. He holds a PhD in International Human Rights Law from the University of Portsmouth, UK. Shams has published several books and translations of prominent American authors into Farsi, such as Allen Ginsberg, Charles Bernstein, and Kathy Acker. He has written numerous essays on poetry and critical theory. He often appears on News Channels (English and Persian) as a Political Analyst. He  is currently living in London, England.
