Brian Shields was born and raised in Barcelona. He studied art in Spain, England, France, and the United States. As a painter, environmental and social justice activist, and wilderness guide, Brian’s life and work is an exploration and expression of nature. He lives in Ranchos de Taos, NM with his wife, the poet, Sawnie Morris. “J.M.W. Turner – Why Now?” first appeared in Lana Turner: A Journal of Poetry and Opinion, #8.
