Emily's Poems

Through my unhappiness today

         I read your work

    sun pouring down the pages

I see in,

                    so far

              a train and starling there,

     dune grass, the snow.So

           white, so cold. Oh friend,

  unhappiness,

you one-word-at-a-time

                    bide with me now

you dazzling snow on children’s playhouses

    and funny trees

and silver train

                  behind my eyes
