Blue Suitcase

He’s at the desk, looking down, small talk,
arrangements, sights for the morrow.

She’s looking at the light behind him.
The poem doesn’t tell us how.

He’s left her overnight case
accidentally on the train. With only the clothes

on her beautiful back, she has nothing
left but him to change into.
